Welcome to the Celebrate Recovery! Walk & Poetry Reading event at Kent United Church of Christ! Join us on September 20, 2025 at 9:00 AM (Eastern Time) for a day filled with healing and creativity.

Come together with others in the community to walk, reflect, and share poetry, at the Wick Poetry Center, that inspires hope and courage. This event is all about supporting each other on our journeys towards recovery and growth.

Whether you're a seasoned poet or just looking to enjoy some beautiful verses, this event is open to all. Let's connect, encourage one another, and celebrate the strength found in vulnerability.

Info: The event starts at the Kent United Church of Christ. Here, we will have resource tables from agencies across the county and some refreshments to fuel you up for the walk! You might even walk away with a prize.

Info: We will be walking along E Main St (OH-59) on the edge of Kent State's campus to the Wick Poetry Center.

Info: Bring a poem, volunteer to read a prepared poem, or simply listen and support! Weather permitting we will have the poetry reading outside in the beautiful garden of the Wick Poetry Center. If rain does occur, the poetry reading will be moved indoors.

Info: We will end the event by walking back to the Kent United Church where we originally started.
