This Independence Day, step into the lively taverns of Revolutionary America as Benjamin Franklin comes to life at VineCrafters.
Portrayed by acclaimed historical interpreter Darren York, Franklin will welcome guests to an immersive evening of colonial tavern fare, spirited conversation, live fiddle music, historic beverages, and patriotic celebration.
Inspired by the legendary taverns where America's founders gathered to exchange ideas, debate liberty, and share a meal among friends, Colonial Tavern Night invites guests to experience the food, drink, and fellowship that helped shape a nation.
The evening begins with a Liberty Claret Cup and colonial tavern board before guests enjoy a buffet of historic-inspired fare, including Hercules' Chilled Asparagus Soup, James Hemings' Macaroni Pie, Tubb's Tavern Beef Tips, and other colonial favorites.
As twilight approaches, guests will gather for Martha Washington's Shrub, a Toast to Liberty, and a reading of selections from the Declaration of Independence led by Benjamin Franklin himself.
Dessert features Dolley Madison's Gingerbread and traditional Syllabub Cream with Summer Berries before the evening concludes with fireworks and celebration in honor of America's 250th anniversary era and the enduring spirit of liberty.
