🐕🦺 Join VA Palo Alto as we recognize International Assistance Dog Week and celebrate the Veterans, assistance dogs, and community partners whose dedication has made the PAWS Pilot Program a success.
Assistance dogs support Veterans in many ways—from helping with mobility challenges, hearing or vision loss, and medical needs to providing support for the invisible wounds of PTSD. Their partnership helps Veterans live with greater independence, confidence, and connection.
VA Palo Alto is proud to partner with Paws for Purple Hearts and Warrior Canine Connection, whose commitment has helped strengthen the PAWS Pilot Program and enrich the care of the Veterans we serve.
As the final year of the PAWS Pilot Program comes to a close, we are especially honored to recognize the Veterans and assistance dog teams who have participated throughout the program. We invite PAWS Pilot Program graduates to join us as we celebrate their accomplishments and the impact they have made.
