Attendees will gain insight into the historical origins of bonsai, learn practical techniques for shaping and caring for these miniature trees, and have the opportunity to observe a curated selection of impressive specimen bonsai. Since 1962, the Atlanta Bonsai Society has cultivated and disseminated the art of bonsai throughout North Georgia. With a membership exceeding 200, the organization offers tiered programming tailored to beginners, intermediate enthusiasts, and seasoned practitioners. Monthly meetings include seasonal programs designed for novice cultivation, advanced design and maintenance workshops, an annual exhibition, an auction, and explorations of related aesthetic forms such as suiseki and kusamono.
