Join us to celebrate 25 years of Restorative City Whanganui For a quarter of a century, Restorative City has been working to embed restorative principles into the everyday life of our community — across schools, workplaces, justice, and whānau spaces.
This year also marks a new beginning for us: we’ve rebranded and been gifted a new whakataukī by local iwi, expressing our renewed purpose for the next 25 years:
He waipuketia te aroha mo nga tangata rawa kore
Let love overflow for those with the least.
We warmly invite you to join us for a community celebration to honour this milestone and reflect on the global theme for Restorative Justice Week — “Restorative Justice as a Human Right.”
The evening will include:
• A short film screening on restorative journeys
• Dialogue circles exploring what the “right to repair” means for our community
• A creative reflection wall inviting your hopes and commitments
• Shared kai and connection
Come celebrate Whanganui’s ongoing journey as Aotearoa’s first Restorative City — honouring our past, embracing our present, and imagining our next 25 years together.
