About this Event
CelebrAsian Dance / Danse 2026 is a vibrant, family-friendly performance celebrating Asian Heritage Month through dance and music from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, and Korea.
Featuring acclaimed local and international artists—including Korean dance artist Yeonji Hong, Indonesian dancer Eko Nurcahyo, and members of Ottawa’s Autumn Melody Collective—the program showcases a rich range of traditional and contemporary works. Highlights include Chinese fan and spear dances, Balinese mask dance, Korean sword dance, and the mesmerizing “Bian Lian” (face-changing) performance.
The evening also features Worn Inheritance, a powerful new solo by William Lau with live Cambodian musicians, exploring cultural memory and identity through movement and music choreographed by Peter Chin.
