New park and a good one for our Sparta and Kent City families. Wahlfield has woods, meadows, and a creek valley along Mill Creek, plus a real playground at the trailhead.
Meet at the playground by the main lot around 12:00. Soft start, so come whenever you can. Bring snacks or a packed lunch if you want to stay.
What to know:
🌿 All ages welcome, including littles
🌿 Playground, restrooms, and open shelters at the trailhead
🌿 The county walking path that loops the park is easy and stroller friendly
🌿 There are mountain bike trails here too, so we'll stick to the county path and stay out of their way 🌿 Beech woods and a creek, this is a beautiful one for fall color
🌿 Boots or shoes you don't mind getting muddy 🌿 No RSVP needed, just show up
