Consciousness Explorers Club Community Picnic on Ward’s Island!
We’ll start with an outdoor meditation by the lake to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall! Bring your own cushion/blanket and we’ll sit together with the unique perspective of looking back at the city across the lake. Then we’ll head to the Big Tree on the Ward’s sports field for an afternoon of community connection and mindful fun for all ages. Bring kids and snacks and drinks and games and whatever/whoever else to make it awesome!
Schedule:
2pm (or earlier) catch ferry to Ward’s Island
2:15-2:45pm – silent outdoor meditation on the beach next to the Ward’s Island ferry dock overlooking the city skyline
3-5pm – Community Picnic on the Ward’s Island field. We’ll gather on the south end of the sports field near the big willow tree at the corner of Withrow Street and Lakeshore Ave.
5:45pm – ferry back to downtown or hit the beach and stay awhile!
