CDDC'S Halloween Social Dance & Costume Party!

Join Christifer Duxbury Dance Collective on Friday, October 30 2026 for the CDDC Halloween Social Dance, a Halloween-themed evening of Ballroom, Latin, Country and Swing dancing in Calgary.
Whether you are an experienced social dancer or have never attended a dance event before, you are welcome to join us. The evening begins with open practice and a beginner-friendly Waltz class, followed by social dancing until midnight, all set to a special Halloween-only playlist created just for the night.
Costumes are welcomed, creativity is encouraged, and one guest will leave with a prize for Best Costume!
Evening Schedule
8:00 PM
Doors open and the floor becomes available for Open Practice.
Use the time to warm up, work on technique, practice choreography, improve your lead and follow, review patterns or simply get comfortable on the floor before the evening begins.
8:15 PM to 8:45 PM
Beginner-Friendly Waltz Class
New to Waltz? Perfect.
Join us for an introductory Waltz class designed to get beginners moving comfortably and confidently. No previous Waltz experience is required.
The dance floor will be closed for Open Practice during the class.
8:45 PM to Midnight
Halloween Social Dancing
Then the lights go down, the Halloween playlist comes on and the social begins.
Dance the evening away with a mix of Ballroom, Latin, Country and Swing, featuring a Halloween-themed soundtrack selected especially for the event.
Come in Costume!
It wouldn't be a CDDC Halloween party without costumes.
Costumes are welcomed and encouraged, whether you arrive in something elaborate, funny, spooky, glamorous or somewhere wonderfully in between.
During the evening, we'll also choose a:
BEST COSTUME WINNER 🏆
with a prize for our favourite look of the night.
