LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS AUDITIONSAuditions for The Seventh Street Community Theatre’s production of the award-winning soulful Comedy Musical, "LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS".
Saturday March 1st at 6pm
Sunday March 2nd at 6pm
CALL BACKS on Sunday at 8:00pm invited as needed.
Please prepare approximately one minute of a musical theatre song in the style of the show. Bring accompaniment via CD, mp3, or other aux adaptable device. No A Capella please. Accompanist will NOT be provided.
All Participants being considered for a role will be asked to dance. Some may be asked to read and learn music from the show.
Rehearsals begin immediately & will be held weekly Monday-Thursday 6:30pm-10:00pm and some Saturday rehearsals TBD. A breakdown of who will be called specifically will be provided in advance. Show dates detailed below, call is 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to curtain.
ALL CONFLICTS must be provided at auditions.
ALL are expected to participate in set build and mandatory set strike on 04/27

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
Seymour Krelborn
An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills.

Audrey
Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour's life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor.

Mushnik
The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative.

Orin Scrivello
An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. Also plays multiple ensemble roles.

Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon (all genders)
Play Young, hip and smart, street urchins acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. They are the only ones who have a grip on reality.

Audrey II Voice (all genders)
An anthropomorphic blood sucking Venus flytrap, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain” with a funky Rhythm and Blues, soulful DIVA!
