CCIM Signature Event: Hard Hat Tour of the Churchill
About this Event
Originally opened in 1915 as Madison’s first “skyscraper,” the nine-story building on Capitol Square is being transformed by Hovde Properties into an 84-room Marriott Tribute Portfolio boutique hotel, with an anticipated opening in late 2026.
Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the redevelopment process and learn how the project is balancing historic preservation with a modern hospitality use. The renovation will restore and showcase original features, including the building’s iron staircase railings and mosaic entryway tiles, while bringing new life to this landmark property.
The group will meet at CG Schmidt before walking together to The Churchill for the hard-hat tour. Following the tour, join us for networking and happy hour on the rooftop, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, happy hour will be held in the Centennial Room. PPE will be provided.
