Join us in support of veterans who bravely served our country!CBCA Clayton Cornhole is honored to run an event on behalf of VFW Post 1525 in Concord. The tournament will be hosted at the scenic Oakhurst Country Club in Clayton and games will be played outside on their beautiful stadium tennis court. The event will be on Sunday, March 23rd and it will be a bring your own partner (BYOP) format. We will pay out the top team a minimum of $200 (based on total registrations) and all other proceeds go to the VFW in support of our local veterans.
Additional details include:
• Check in and warm up begins at 1:00pm, and the tournament will kick off promptly at 2:00pm.
• This will be a 4-game round robin followed by a single elimination bracket, so each team is guaranteed at least 5 games.
• The cost is $80 per team of 2 and $100 for teams of up to 4 players.
• There will be a cash bar conveniently available next to the court, and no outside alcohol is permitted. You may bring your own snacks, and food is available for purchase in the clubhouse.
• If rain is expected on the day of the event, we will notify players of the contingency plan via email.
• We are using a free app, called Scoreholio, to register teams and run the tournament. It is simple to set up an account and you can use this link to register. Call or text Dave Mills (number below) if you have any questions about adding players to your team in the app.
• Want to play but don’t have a partner – no worries! Simply reply to this email to let us know and we will help pair you up with a partner.
• There is also an opportunity to sponsor a team of veterans so they can play in the event. If you are interested in doing that, please reply to this email and we will contact you to run through those details with you.
We will max out at 40 teams and the waitlist will be turned ON so sign up even if registration shows the event as full in Scoreholio. We will send a message through Scoreholio when a spot opens. Hope to see you there!
