VENUE INFORMATION: The venue for the conference is the Tiviot Dale Methodist Church, 2-4 Tiviot Dale, Stockport, SK1 1TA. The church is easily accessible by road from the A560 Great Edgerton Street and has good public transport connections:
By road – There is some free parking on site and a number of other car parks within 10 minutes’ walk from the venue Car parks - Stockport Council.
By rail – Stockport Railway Station is about a 15 min walk from the church and 5 minutes’ walk from Stockport Bus Station where a bus can take you to the venue.
By bus – The 330, 325 and 203 bus services can be taken from Stockport Bus Station to Little Egerton Street, which is a 2-minute walk from the venue. For information on bus and train travel call Traveline on 0871 200 2233 or use the Journey Planner
REFRESHMENT:
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. The venue is within Stockport Town Centre and has easy access to cafes and shops where lunch can be purchased. Alternatively, attendees who bring their own packed lunch can eat in the venue.
BOOK STALL:
Stockport heritage library will be hosting a stall for the sale of surplus historic books and maps for the region, with proceeds going towards stock for the new heritage library.
The Northwest Regional Research Framework (NWRRF) publication is still available in hardback. This will be available at the conference, free for members, on our membership list prior to the conference, who have not already had their copy, and priced at £10.00 for non-members.
