Come experience the psychedelic dub-Western film soundtrack "Cazador del Oso," (The Bear Hunter) performed by super-group of local & Grammy-nominated musicians, including members of 20 Grand, Roots Uprising, Mac band, Glacier Symphony, Evergreen Afrodub Orchestra, and more.Written, scored, and illustrated by Zac Fawcett, this film-in-the-making chronicles a Jamaican Buffalo Soldier sent to Essex, MT to fight the Big Burn of 1910. Inspired by John Flayleigh's "Wild River Pioneers," Coen Brothers, "Ballad of Buster Scruggs," and David Fincher's "Fight Club"; Cazador del Oso offers a subtly-satirical deconstruction of Western film's gun-slinging, emotionless archetype, while paying homage to forgotten pioneers of Montana's past.
The graphic-vinyl debut gala is 4/25/26, at O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish, featuring opening set by post-rock favorites, Surf Bat, plus an interactive art release of 12 large Western oil paintings and charcoal drawings from the film’s storyboard, by Zac Fawcett.
Rebel Roots Food Truck will be popping off their first appearance of 2026, plus a RAFFLE for items/baskets from local businesses. Every ticket sold will get two complimentary beer/wine tickets (also good for the raffles), by Bonsai Brewing.
