CAWA Film Festival is on 12 November! 🎬
Join us for an evening celebrating the people, places and adventures that make climbing in WA so special. Five films, from a tribute to WA climbing history to outdoor adventures and a celebration of women on the rock.
The films:
Glory Days
On the 60th anniversary of WA’s first climbing route, two climbers set out to climb it in its original style with the original gear.
A Kid’s Dream
Follow Eli as he shares his climbing journey, hoping to inspire future climbers and thank the community that has supported him.
Belay Beaches Highlights
Five friends who met at the climbing gym explore the outdoors together.
GAWA: It Goes Girls
CAWA’s first girls-only outdoor climbing series, celebrating having a go and getting out on the rock together.
Climbing Coastal
Meg, Ethan and Greg road-trip down south to take on two of Albany’s most iconic climbs at Peak Head and West Cape Howe, with multi-pitch climbing, off-road driving lessons and a few ups and downs along the way.
The films are competing for the CAWA Film Award ($500), judged by a dedicated panel, and you can vote for the People’s Choice Award ($300 for first, $150 for second). Stick around after for a filmmaker Q&A and raffle prizes.
