The Saber Legion (TSL) is a worldwide LED saber fighting organization with a focus on saber combat and sparring.Our California chapter is hosting the Cavalry Cup at SoCal Swords!
This event hosted by The Saber Legion will have four competitive divisions: Standard, Chance Cube Combat - Exotic Weapons, Unity, Art Clash. Whether you compete or observe you will experience an electrifying display of skill and creativity.

$45 entrance fee plus $5 for each division

DIVISIONS:
Standard
The Standard Saber Division in The Saber Legion (TSL) is a classic 1v1 fighter division that features the use of a single saber. It highlights the essence of traditional lightsaber combat and showcases the skill and expertise of each fighter in a thrilling one-on-one competition. This division is open to all competitors.
**Note: If registration numbers meet the required threshold, this division may be split into Tier A and Tier B. Participants will be notified closer to the event.
Exotic Weapons Division - Chance Cube Combat
This will be an exciting Exotics tournament where fighters will roll a "chance cube" to determine which Exotics weapon type they will fight with in each match. Weapons will be available for all weapon types.
Unity
The goal of TSL is to allow members from every background to compete together in a safe, fun, and exciting way. The Unity tournament is another way we fulfill that mission by offering a continuous-fighting format with solid-contact rules. This is recommended for those with martial arts experience or want to do something that might feel more reminiscent of the fighting in the Star Wars movies. It is more demanding and does have a few more requirements. Attendees should be aware of the differences in requirements before attempting to participate in this event at any tournament.
**Note: you must be Unity certified or become Unity certified prior to competing. An online written test and an in person must be completed. A director will be available the day of to complete in person testing.
Art Clash
The Saber Legion’s Art Clash Division honors the makers, crafters, and creators in our community. Members can showcase custom-built sabers, armor, and helmets in a judged and community-voted contest. Whether you're a builder, painter, or gear enthusiast, this is your time to shine.
Entries must be combat-ready and will be scored on craftsmanship, originality, and theme. Open to all members --- fighters and non-fighters alike.
