AI can see patterns in data and tell you what's likely to happen. But can it tell you what to do about it?
About this Event

This talk introduces causal intelligence as the missing layer between data and decisions.

In a world obsessed with AI and prediction, knowing why things happen and what will change if you act is a different skill entirely. One that most AI tools, and most organisations, don't yet have.

Come away with a new way of thinking about data, decisions, and what it actually means for your data investment to be working.

About the speaker

Dan Franks has been a Professor of Data Science at the University of York for 20 years. He worked as a Modelling and Data Research lead at a unicorn startup for a year, before cofounding Causa, a York-based data modelling startup.
