Come learn how to safely hike and guide tours around livestock! Attendees will learn why livestock are used to manage vegetation on open spaces, the societal and environmental benefits of grazing, and some of the specific ways livestock grazing is supporting native spaces on Solano Land Trust properties.
Animal science principles will help attendees understand how livestock see the world and how our body language as hikers can create low-stress interactions on trails. After a morning in the classroom, we will take to the trails to apply our new skills.
