About this Event
This workshop offers an artistic and cultural experience that goes beyond makeup. Participants learn to create their own Catrina or Catrín makeup while being introduced to the historical, spiritual, and symbolic context of the Day of the Dead.
Through art, this workshop honours one of Mexico’s most meaningful traditions, understanding La Catrina not only as an aesthetic element but as a symbol of identity, remembrance, and connection to ancestors. Makeup becomes a personal and collective expression that celebrates life, acknowledges death as part of the natural cycle, and preserves the deeper meaning of this celebration.
