Cathy Talbot will be teaching another great enamel jewelry workshop at the gallery! Using powdered glass enamel and the artist's kiln we will design and fire 3 pairs of earrings ($150 retail value) at the workshop for $125. Most days you can find Cathy Talbot in her Tupelo Mississippi backyard studio. In the studio she playfully calls "Empty Nest" she immerses herself in the world of vitreous enameling the ancient art of firing powdered glass metal. From hand fabricating the metal for jewelry or art objects to torch or kiln firing the glass it is all about the technique and bright colors.
Cathy also enjoys sharing her art as a guest instructor at the Metal Museum in Memphis and being involved in its community outreach program. Cathy is a member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi Tennessee Crafts Southwest Chapter and The Enamellists Society.
