Catch-22: Free Exhibition in Dalston
About this Event
Catch-22 is a show of four recent graduates living and making work in London. It presents work made during eight months of committed practice, enabled by the inaugural Goldsmiths V22 Studio Bursary Award. Working across South East and North East London, the artists have been brought together through a shared experience: one year after graduating from Goldsmiths BFA, Di, Alejandre, Serpa Arango, and Dore are showcasing the fruits of their labour.
Catch-22 references the paradoxical labyrinth of entering the art world, which this V22 bursary opportunity has helped them navigate. The works in the show are iterations of this period: the early years, the first real grind outside the arms of the institution.
