Catawba Pottery Demonstration

Join us for a Catawba Pottery Demonstration with Nancy Totherow White, presented as part of Showcasing Folk Arts in Orangeburg series. Discover the history and traditions behind this more than 6,000-year-old art form and watch as pottery pieces are created in real time using techniques passed down through generations. This program is free and open to the public. This project is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
