Bluegrass Night Featuring New Lost Nation, and the Lion Sisters, hosted by Bob & Sarah AmosSaturday May 9, at 7pm,
Alexander Twilight Theater, VTSU – Lyndon campus, 1001 College Rd, Lyndonville VT
Catamount Arts Bluegrass Night continues its 2026 season with the wonderful traditional old time string band music of New Lost Nation.
Hosted by the acclaimed father-daughter duo Bob & Sarah Amos, who recently had a #1 album and #1 song on the national Folk charts, the Bluegrass Night concert series features the best bluegrass and acoustic music acts in New England, and is held in the Alexander Twilight Theater, on the Vermont State University – Lyndon campus.
New Lost Nation is an old-time string band that has emerged out of the vibrant traditional music scene of Central Vermont. The all-star line-up features Dana Robinson on fiddle and vocals, Tom McKenzie on banjo and vocals, Susan Robinson on guitar and vocals, and Neal McNaughton on bass and vocals.
The band’s sound is distinctly Southern-Appalachian, and inspired by the Round Peak style in North Carolina, as well as the deep well of old-time fiddle tunes and traditional songs from throughout North America.
The Lion Sisters are a sibling duo from New Hampshire known for their tight harmonies and natural musical synchronicity. With Josi on fiddle and vocals and Lily on guitar and vocals, their sound blends folk and bluegrass with Irish fiddle, vintage country, and subtle pop and rock influences—creating a warm, contemporary style that’s distinctly their own.
As always, admission to Bluegrass Night is free, but donations will be gratefully received.
