A special evening of story and song, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the returning of the ship Catalpa to New York. On August 19, 1876, the Catalpa pulled into New York harbor after rescuing the Freemantle Six - James Wilson, Thomas Darragh, Martin Hogan, Michael Harrington, Thomas Hassett, and Robert Cranston - Irish Republican political prisoners. Come learn about and celebrate one of the most daring and courageous Pr*son escapes of all time with Marcus Howard, Independent Historian & Filmmaker who will tell the story accompanied by a band of award winning Irish traditional musicians.
