Best game qualifiers from open to close on both Friday the 7th and Saturday the 8th. Business hours are 3pm to 2am on Friday, and noon to 2am on Saturday. The top 14 games will will count towards a player's standings, the top 24 players move on to a group elimination knockout that starts at 1 PM on Sunday the 9th, with top 8 players receiving a bye, and the rest split into 4 groups of 4, with the top seed in each group getting their choice of game for 3 games, top 2 players from each group will advance while the bottom 2 getting knocked out.
Buy in is $10 and you will get 15 plays with your buy in, there are unlimited rebuys at $5 for 5 plays. All buy ins and rebuys will go towards supporting Project Pinball (https://projectpinball.org/)
This tournament will reach the requirements to get the certified boost to value, and if we hit 128 rated players participating it will reach the Certified+ boost for maximum possible points.
There is no player cap, so bring all your friends and family! Pre registrations are not required, sign ups will take place at the event.
New for this tournament: Got friends or family that wants to contribute but can't play in the tournament? Now you can have them pledge a donation for each game you play, the more pinball you play, the more money gets donated! This will likely be handled through PayPal, but if that doesn't work I can work with other options. To kick things off, I will be donating an additional dollar for every game I play during qualifying.
These tournaments are impossible without volunteers to help with scorekeeping, if you would like to help with scorekeeping you can add your name to the sheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nAhc8WU-ClZmAxezSan7RfcnfiAp3Pl4Gu3Q6GZZteU/edit?usp=sharing. The first two hours of volunteering will cover your buy in, any hours beyond the first two earns you an additional 5 plays.
Note: All money spent on buy ins and rebuys will be going towards charity, there is not a plan to have prize money for finalists.
