Want to bring Butte history to life this summer? We are casting a vibrant, 3-act all-volunteer immersive history play featuring the miners, copper kings, rebels, organizers, and community members who shaped history around the globe, because Butte's story is the world's story!
🎭 Audition Details:
When: Thursday, June 11, 2026
Where: World Museum of Mining, 155 Museum Way in Butte
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Staggered starts begin June 11)
Performances: July 31 (6:30 PM) | Aug 1 (2:00 PM & 6:30 PM) | Aug 2 (2:00 PM)
👥 Roles Available:
Principal Role: Bert Rumsey - Deadpan saloonkeeper-turned-miner with a wry wit. Starring opposite of John Emeigh as Matty Kiley, this role is vital to the story.
Supporting Adult Roles: Jenny "Jew Jess" Lester, Mrs. Fior, Llewellyn Evans, and the infamous Copper Kings: Fritz Augustus Heinze and W.A. Clark.
Suffragettes: Mary Murphy, Mary O'Neill, Delia Peets, and Katherine Sullivan.
Youth/Children Roles: Cora, Nellie, Silas, Joe, Leo, and Arthur.
Ensemble: Want to be part of the action without a mountain of lines? We need a high-energy ensemble to build the world of the play: Miners, Gunmen, Soldiers, Mourners, and Neighbors wanted! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY 🤠
