Winnipeg's own and most fun Jug Band - The Cast Iron Potty Band will be doing a special show at the Handsome Devil Bistro in Elora Saturday July 25 starting at 7pm.
Who is in the band?: Rob from Silvia Dee & the Boyfriend, Dick from Barrie, Fred and Dave from Vancouver and Hugh from Winnipeg. Silvia Dee will be appearing as a special guest.
What is a Jug Band you ask? Well... picture a washboard instead of drums, a washtub and hockey stick for a bass and a jug for more tuba-like low end - add in guitars, mandolin and banjo and even some harmonica and accordion plus sweet harmonies and voila you have a jug band. We will be playing all the hits from the 20's.... the 1920's that is.
Come on down to the Handsome Devil Bistro for a beverage and great bistro food and have a tuneful and laughter filled evening with the Cast Iron Potty Band!! "Jug Band music certainly is a treat to me..."
