Cast Iron mold making workshop
About this Event
This will be a 3 day workshop where you will bring an object to cast and we will create a 2 part resin-bonded sand mold also known as a "Cope and Drag" mold.
Almost any material is moldable but remember this is a beginner workshop to foundry mold making! If you have questions before class, please email me! ([email protected])
If you are creating your pattern in wax, a 50$ fee will be added for burn out time that will take place during non workshop hours, due during class. If your pattern is a rigid material like wood, you want a draftable pattern. Working with Plastacine clay is IDEAL.
I will send a more in depth email prior to the workshop clarifying some terms and send another agenda :)
