Cass Art Creative Workshop at LAF: Drawing With Nature
About this Event
Nature is all around us, and so are found treasures such as shells, twigs, and stones. These can be from what we find on a local walk, or something picked up from the beach on holiday, and can all be used to create inks and make marks. In this workshop will be using items that foraged from the local area and afar, to experiment and help you actualise a piece of artwork. We will be using natural ink and pigment on handmade paper to convey freedom in using these found objects. If you have any items that you would like to bring along on the day, please do. You will even learn what materials you can use to make your own inks. Whether you're a beginner wanting to dabble in a new medium or simply wish to enjoy an afternoon of drawing, everyone is welcome.
Your workshop will be led by friendly Cass Art Liverpool staff artists who will guide you through the process and can answer your questions about the materials used.
Age: this workshop is suitable for 14+
Materials provided: Paper, variety of inks, Gum Arabic, dried pigment, variety of drawing tools and natural materials
Important Notice: Please bring or wear an old T-shirt or apron as inks can stain, so caution is required to protect clothing.
