Cash for your old TVs and VCRs! We are buying your old TVs and VCRs. This refers only to the older style box "glass tube" CRT style sets and/or video cassette recorders (VHS and/or BETA style VCRs).
**IMPORTANT**
1. Sets must be in perfect working condition. We will not accept anything that isn't working. Sets do not need to be clean, just working. Sets will be tested at drop off.
2. We are ONLY buying smaller TV sets currently. We will accept any set 14" diagonal or smaller. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT large sets.
- EXCEPTION #1 to the 14" size cutoff is any Sony Brand TV sets, those we will buy at any size)
- EXCEPTION #2 to the 14" size cutoff is any TV with built in VCR or DVD player, those we will buy at any size)
3. We are NOT accepting any flatscreen style TV sets (LED, LCD, Plasma, etc.)
4. VCRs can be VHS or BETA format, and must be working. We will also accept Laser Disc Players. No DVD players unless they are built into the VCR or TV set. Combo units are acceptable.
5. CRT Computer Monitors are acceptable also if under the 14" size and also must be working.
6. We are also looking for audio cassette tape players and boomboxes that play cassette tapes.
7. Please include any Remote Controls if available (not necessary however).
We are hosting a 1-day drive-up / drop-off buy-back day for old working TVs and/or computer monitors and VCR Players. These will be cleaned and upcycled to get use with retro setups, thus they must be working in order to be sold to us.
As you know, most donation centers do not accept these older heavy tube TVs, and most public recycle centers charge you a fee to drop them off. Waste management centers do not accept them at all. Here's a chance to clear these out and make a little cash.
Time and Space at Monroeville Mall is collecting older style video equipment to get a new life in the collector world. No need to pollute the earth with old TV sets, when there are fans of old tech that want to put these back to use.
Dropping off is simple:
1. Drive to Monroeville Mall - back side of mall between movie theater and Dicks - across from "Going, Going Gone" Store. Look for door entrance marked with colorful flag streamer in loading dock area. Drive right up to our back door, do not bring the sets in through the main mall entrance at all. We will meet you there and assist to unload onto carts and quickly test them for working order.
2. We will pay:
- each working TV set or monitor - $10
- each combo unit (TV with built in VCR or DVD player or VCR with built-in DVD player) -$20
- each cassette tape player - $10
- no limit, collect and bring many!
3. Drive away with cash in hand, free of the burden of storing an old outdated set.
4. we reserve to right to reject any piece that is not in line with this style of set or if the condition and cleanliness of the set is unacceptable for reuse.
