Casco Bay Tummlers

It’s been nearly 30 years (!) since the Casco Bay Tummlers released their first CD, “Klezmer Music.” And we are proud and happy to say we’re about to release our fourth album, “Dreams of Yesterday and Tomorrow.” We’re still bringing you our fresh takes on Jewish music, collaborating with renowned keyboardist Jamie Saft (who has played with everyone from Iggy Pop to Laurie Anderson) to present a mix of original compositions – whose Klezmer roots are obvious – mostly by Tummlers flutist/guitarist/vocalist Carl Dimow along with heartfelt renditions of Jewish standards, featuring the Tummlers own “Klezmer-atura soprano” Nancy 3. Hoffman.

We hope you’ll come to hear us play these tunes and more at Cadenza on Saturday, July 5. Along with Nancy (on accordion, too) and Carl, you’ll hear Peter McLaughlin on drums, John Clark on bass and Steve Gruverman on clarinet and sax.
