Cascadia in Motion explores the landscapes, rhythms, and evolving spirit of the Pacific Northwest, inviting viewers to experience the region through three distinct artistic perspectives in partnership with lululemon.

Join us on July 31st as we debut the collection and explore the details with our featured artists. Guests will be able to be the first to see the collection and enjoy light refreshments.

Jacque Churchville

I’m a Vegas born and raised, Seattle based artist. Through my time as an artist, I have moved through different styles, mediums and subject matter. In the recent years I have found what brings me joy and achieves my ultimate goal of bringing joy to others is combining nostalgic cartoons with the world around me.

Having always had a love for animation, and the carefree happiness it can bring to children and adults alike, I’ve always wished that the world had more of that unbridled happiness. That is what I have tried to channel into my paintings. By putting these characters in real world situations that we may find ourselves in it has allowed me to continue with my passion of painting the world around me without taking myself too seriously. Having come from a mixed family, with so many wild characters that put fun and being silly above all it has given me such a love for the joy around us.

Although many channel deeper and beautiful meaning and feelings into their art, with the world so serious around us, I just hope to give the world something to smile about.

Barry Johnson

Driven by a commitment to visibility, visual artist barry johnson's work is an investigation into Black identity and its relationship to space. Through his art, he strives to directly confront the historical erasure of Black figures, using the portrait and the figure to capture a narrative of complex human experience. Space often serves as the powerful, yet shifting, backdrop for this exploration.

johnson uses his platform to amplify marginalized voices and reclaim narratives neglected in the art world. His figures—a reflection of his personal experiences and those of the people around him—are not just visible, but are infused with resilience, vulnerability, and complex humanity.

His art is in collections around the world, including the State Department collection in Washington, D.C., MoPOP, Amazon and he has been exhibited across the United States. He has held residencies at Amazon, Facebook, and BASE Experimental Space, in addition to creating multiple public artworks across the Pacific Northwest.

Angelina Villalobos-Soto

Angelina '179' Villalobos Soto is a Seattle-based muralist and fine artist whose work moves between the monumental and the intimate. Her large-scale public murals and studio paintings both ask the same question: what does it feel like to be held by a place?

Raised on the rhythms of the Pacific Northwest, Angelina finds her subject matter in the space where breath and motion meet — mist settling over evergreens, the quiet charge before a body moves, the ordinary poetry of terrain. Her public work has appeared at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and she is a studio resident at Basecamp 2, where she shares space with her sister Claudia as Wolf Sisters. She's a proud graduate and continued supporter of Urban Artworks, the nonprofit that helped shape her path as a muralist.

For Cascadia in Motion, Angelina brings her instinct for atmosphere and gesture to canvas, exploring the PNW not as backdrop but as body — forest as spine, fog as exhale, summit as pulse. Her work invites viewers to slow down long enough to feel the region moving with them.
