Portland Mountain Rescue would like to invite you to an evening of Cascade Volcano safety hosted by Mountain Shop. Throughout the winter and spring, we’ll be exploring the features, hazards, and all things safety surrounding the climbing of our nearest peaks: Mt. Hood, Mount St. Helens, Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier.
Join us from 6:15-8pm for our first clinic as we explore the characteristics of climbing Mt. Hood! This climb is a perfect weekend adventure and is often brushed off as an easy climb, but that is certainly not the case. Learn about the specific hazards that have led to Mt. Hood Search and Rescue Missions in the past, and equip yourself with essential knowledge of how to safely enjoy these beautiful Cascade Volcanoes!
