Casa Kayeb at CinemaAttic in Edinburgh
About this Event
Kayeb is a social impact platform dedicated to amplifying Amazonian voices and shifting the narrative around the region, championing indigenous, riverine, Black, and urban perspectives.
Casa Kayeb makes its Scottish debut in partnership with CinemaAttic, one of Scotland's leading platforms for independent film exhibition.
No More History Without Us is a bold and timely documentary directed by Amazonian filmmaker Priscila Brasil. The film confronts the deep-rooted myths that have long shaped how the world perceives the region: as untouched wilderness, a so-called "savage demographic emptiness" incapable of speaking for itself.
The event is supported by the Scottish Documentary Institute (SDI), Take One Action, the Consulate General of Brazil in Edinburgh, and the Guimarães Rosa Institute. It is part of the Latin Connections Film Festival and the UK/Brazil Season of Culture 2025–26.
