Carve a Print, a Crafternoon workshop series for creative adults (16+)
About this Event
Try block carving in this fun beginner-friendly Crafternoon! Learn the basics of carving and make your first print, then take your design in different directions. Use your block to create cards, gift tags, wrapping paper, additional prints, and more. Your carved block and tools go home with you so you can keep creating.
Instructor:
Kristina Ayala is a Pacifica artist, educator, and printmaker. Her work is inspired by the California coast and the creatures and textures of the natural world. She teaches middle school art and creates prints, ceramics, stickers, and other handmade artwork through Pufferfish Press.
Cost: $30 per personAge: 16+
No experience required
Materials provided: carving tools, block, inks
Take-away: Your carved block and carving tools go home with you so you can keep creating.
Crafter‑noon—is a welcoming, relaxed workshop series for creative adults (16+) of all levels.
Programs are held the second Sunday of the month, from 2 - 4 pm in the Mary Harris Arts Education Room, Studio 22, at Sanchez Art Center.
