Approx 9 miles around the Carsington Water circuit taking in spectacular views across the water. This is mainly a walk and trot ride but there are some canter opportunities if all riders are happy to do so. This route is ideal for those with young or inexperienced horses wanting to try them out in a small safe group. Equally this would suit the less confident hacker as the terrain is accessible and the going predictable. There is also no need to worry about the gates as your guide will take care of all of them!View the route demo video at:
Worth noting: this is a multi-user trail so expect to meet cyclists and walkers with dogs.
Sheep may be encountered on one section of the route.
The route includes a water splash.
Two direct road crossings are made on this route, there is no on road riding.
Parking is at the main visitor centre which is a pay on exit car park. Maximum charges are £6 for the whole day.
All riders must have their own BHS Gold or equivalent Public Liability Insurance. Under 18s are welcome but on a first visit must be accompanied on the ride by an adult rider. Group sizes are limited to 6 + guide.
