Carrying the Weight:Understanding Secondary Trauma
About this Event
Join us on July 30th, 2026, in recognition of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, for a half-day gathering centered on the real impact of this work, and how we take care of ourselves and each other in it.
This training is for the people doing hard, meaningful work every day. Whether you are in healthcare, social services, law enforcement, education, or advocacy. Vicarious trauma is real, and too often overlooked. This space is designed to acknowledge that, and to offer something different.
NASW-PA Chapter is a co-sponsor of this workshop. 3 CEs will be awarded for completion of all days of this course. NASW has been designated as a pre-approved provider of professional continuing education for social workers (Section 47.36), Marriage and Family Therapist (Section 48.36) and Professional Counselors (Section 49.36) by the PA State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.
