Hello, STEM families! Many of us have been singing Christmas carols for the residents at Brookridge retirement home for the past 7 years. This event is such a treat to the residents and is a blessing for us carolers as well. It's a great way to spread cheer and love to the elderly people who live in the retirement home. They get so much joy in singing with us and hearing us. I hope you will join us this year. The activities director says this event is one of their favorites and they so look forward to it.If you would like to attend below are details. 🎄🦌⛄🎶 Join us Monday December 16th from 1:00-2:15ish as we spread Holiday cheer at the Brookridge Retirement home (located on 1199 Hayes Forest Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). We will be walking through the halls for the residents, singing to them and giving cards or gifts. Wear your festive hats, clothes, scarves - or elf costumes.
They have roughly 70 residents and we are welcome and encouraged to bring them handmade or store-bought cards or hard candy. My family usually makes cutout snowflakes. There are many free printables for these found online and on Pinterest. The residents love this sort of thing to hang up in their rooms and on their windows.
