All You Can Eat BBQ, hush puppies, slaw, and more! This annual BBQ competition features 28 teams from across NC, all vying for your vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award. Save room to sample offerings from every team and know where to find desserts, lemonade, and other bribes for your vote. All proceeds go to charity.
When: May 16, 2026 at 11 am until the BBQ is gone.
Where: This event is held at the Got to Be NC Festival, at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. Parking is Free! Admission to the Got to Be NC Festival is Free!
Buy tickets online at the link below and at carolinapigjig.com. Tickets are also available at the event on the day of the event until sold out.
How to find us: Once you are in the Got to Be NC Festival, our ticket booths are across from the Grandstand.
Why: This is a charity event and all proceeds go to these charities: the Masonic Home for Children and the Central Children's Home.
