2026 INFO: A NEW Hotel Otter: the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lake Norman, Huntersville NC off of I-77 exit for NC 73 / Sam Furr Road,
The hotel is near Zaxby’s and the Melting Pot, which is down the road from Target & Harris Teeter. The hotel offers a fitness center, laundry facilities, a small convenience store, and even an indoor pool. We will also be close to many different kinds of restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores that are within a five-mile area. Concord Mills is 13 miles distance.
The 2026 Room Block Info: King and Queen rooms Room Rate is Thursday & Sunday night - $114.00. Friday & Saturday night - $159.00. Room tax is 15.25% Complimentary Breakfast.
Rate Information: Rates quoted are net, non-commissionable and subject to tax which is currently 15.25%.
These rates include breakfast at the hotel for every guest in the room, which would normally cost extra.
Check-in: 3:00 pm Check-out: 12:00 pm
Cancellation: Individuals must cancel at least 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee equal to one night’s room and tax.

What you need to know from Harold:
Item #1 - If we can achieve 90 cumulative rooms booked, the hotel will give us the use of the conference room for free for three days. If we can’t accomplish the rooms booked minimum it will cost us $500 for the use of the Meeting Room per night for the weekend. If you use points to book a room, this will not be counted as part of the group according to the hotel. Book early to help ensure securing the meeting rooms!.
Item #2: The alcohol laws in NC changed in 2024. We cannot have hard liquor in the Meeting Rooms unless we secure a one-time liquor license (in our case that would be 3 licenses). The license would require the application be notarized, with a criminal record check submitted for each license ,and a fee of $50 paid for each license. We can have Beer and Wine in the conference room. We can not take our drinks to the lobby or the outdoor patio area. People can have hard liquor in their rooms, just not the conference room
Item 3: Management said if one noise complaint is received they will shut down the music. As a precautionary measure we requested that our room block surround the Meeting Rooms as a precautionary measure.
Item #4: After you have booked your room, please send me (Harold) a private message letting me know and also post on the Event Page Discussion that you have done that, this helps keep a room count.
