About this Event

brings together new and recent works by the Los Angeles–based Colombian artist that address the inter-related issues of water and land stewardship, just energy transition, and reciprocal relationships between humans and the natural world.

Incorporating sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and video, Caycedo draws on environmental justice frameworks, traditional knowledge systems, and ecofeminism to examine the social and ecological consequences of extractive development while imagining more sustainable futures. Works from several of Caycedo’s ongoing series are featured alongside new commissions informed by the artist’s research into Midwestern prairie grasses and perennial agriculture systems.

Led by student educators, the Museum’s public tours encourage visitors to learn and discover through close looking, conversation, and creative engagement with artworks on view.

Free and open to the public. Please check in at the Welcome Desk when arriving for the tour.

Parking is available in the East End Garage, and is free on weekends and daily after 5 pm.
