SHOWCASE CONCERT by THE ALLENTOWN BANDRonald Demkee, Conductor
The Allentown Band once again has been invited to present the Showcase Concert at the conclusion of this year's New York Spring International Music Festival, presented by World Projects at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Our local audience will have the opportunity to hear the band's Carnegie Hall program at Allentown's Christ Lutheran Church at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 15th Concurrent with America's 250th Semiquincentennial, the concert will feature music by American composers- Samuel Barber, Morton Gould, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Percy Grainger, Johan de Meij, and of course John Philip Sousa. This marks the band's 5th performance at Carnegie Hall.
