Explore the artistry of Shashank Subramanyam, a renowned flutist in Indian classical music. With a career spanning four decades and performances in over 50 countries, he has collaborated with bands, orchestras, and musicians across various genres. His accolades include a Grammy nomination in 2009, the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from Govt of France in 2022, Sangeet Natak Akademi award from Govt of India in 2017, Kalaimamani in 2001 from Govt of Tamil Nadu. More: www.shashank.org. Parupalli Phalgun is an experienced mridangam maestro, known for rhythmic dexterity and a deep knowledge of Carnatic theory. He won the Sangeet Natak Akademi’s prestigious Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar award in recognition of his consistently high performance quality which he donated entirely to a foundation created in memory of his late guru, Radhakrishna Raju.
Sruti Sarathy is a leading Carnatic musician in the diaspora. She is a versatile violinist, singer, and composer with roots in the South Indian classical tradition. Sruti began her musical training as a prodigious three-year old under Anuradha Sridhar, a sixth-generation violinist from the Lalgudi lineage of musicians. Sruti has also studied Hindustani music under maestro Kala Ramnath.
