Is this class for you?
This class is ideal for beginner to intermediate video shooters. Whether starting from scratch or looking to enhance your existing skills, this class provides a technical foundation for shooting video on any digital camera.
If you're a still photographer seeking a seamless transition to video, this class will help translate your existing knowledge and skills to the video domain.
The curriculum is not brand-specific and is designed to teach skills relevant to a variety of equipment preferences from DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras to Cinema cameras and Camcorders.
You will walk away with a broad technical foundation applicable to vlogging, wedding video production, social media content creation, YouTube, filmmaking, corporate and commercial production, and music videos.
How to Participate:
This class will take place at Glazer's Camera at 811 Republican St on the 2nd floor in the classroom. The class will consist of a presentation as well as live demos. Bring your camera to follow along!
ABOUT ASTER TETER
Aster has been passionate about filmmaking and video production since they first picked up a camera at the age of 15. After studying cinematography and color grading at Marlboro College, Aster moved to the Pacific Northwest and co-founded Joybird Studios with their partner and collaborator Deana. They have worked on a variety of projects from films, to commercials, music videos, and more - with clients ranging from local brands and NGO's to national musicians and brands. Aster has a particular passion for the power of documentary filmmaking and has worked on various documentary projects about community, sexual and reproductive rights, and gender.
With this wide range of experience, Aster has cultivated an in-depth knowledge of every aspect of video production, from camera operation, and lighting to editing and sound. Aster believes video and filmmaking should be accessible to everyone and has found great fulfillment in sharing their expertise through teaching. During the rare moments when they are not working on a project, they love cooking, reading, and roller skating!

PRICING, FEES & REFUNDS
In the event of a refund, Eventbrite Fees are not refundable. Eventbrite fees are only refunded if an event is canceled.
We will issue a full refund up to 4 days before the event date; or a 50% refund up to the day of the event, if however we are able to fill the spot, we may issue a full refund. No-shows will not be refunded.
Refunds are unavailable post-event date.
