Presented by CATAC and Center for Immersive LeadershipCreativity thrives on energy, not just time. In our demanding and uncertain world, working as an artist is often tied to constant production in order to survive. Regardless of the physical, financial, and mental toll, artists have to generate nonstop which easily leads to burn out. It’s vital to reframe how we approach self-care with an understanding of the need for rest and recovery in the creative process.
This workshop is designed for artists to assess and reconnect with their energy and cultivate recovery by exploring a perspective based on scientific research on wellbeing and leadership called Be Well, Lead Well which uses a framework to align body, mind, and creative flow. Through interactive exercises and reflective prompts, we’ll go beyond traditional notions of self-care and explore key dimensions of wellbeing:
Thriving: Flourishing today and being optimistic about the future
Wonder: Evolving through challenge, embracing differences and innovation, and unleashing the power of awe
Wisdom: Tapping into inner greatness—the worthwhile purpose, inspired vision, and innate genius for guiding people toward positive impact
Fuel: Using diet, physical movement, breath, and rest for sustained energy
Flow: Being in the zone—bringing full engagement and presence to life and work
This workshop encourages letting go of perfectionism, embracing spontaneity, and granting yourself permission to rest through a mix of improvisation, group collaboration, guided reflection, and actionable tools. The goals are to unlock flow and reconnect with your sense of freedom and vitality, and to examine strategies of balancing artistic output with meaningful recovery.

About the Facilitators:
I'm Andi Schrader, CPCC, the coach here at Forest Light. https://www.forestlightcoaching.com/ As a life coach and artist, I help clients in all areas of growth and specialize in Creativity Coaching and Enneagram Coaching.
My happy place is being outdoors in the mountains or in my studio making. I have several decades of life experience, as seen by my pure white hair! I am a certified Co-Active Coach (CPCC) trained through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), a global leader in coach training. My journey as an artist and world traveler, coupled with my curiosity about others, have all conspired to lead me onto the coaching path. I eagerly guide others to explore new ways of seeing along their own journeys.
As an Enneagram 7, it's no surprise I do numerous things! I lead international hiking/art/soul retreats which have been a joy to me and the participants. These are the sweetest spot for me as a coach and artist. I was a founding leader of unique elementary school in Ohio and owned my own Creative Memories business for 16 years. You'll find me behind the camera on my travels, longing for snow in winter and stitching or messing with paint. Some of my mixed media art is at the bottom of this page. I've been married to Dave for 40 years, have two adult children, a son in law and grand pups. Meeting YOU and chatting will be icing on the cake!
