Join us for a community conversation on Alzheimer’s, dementia, and caring for individuals living with memory loss.
About this Event

The Second Church Meeting House in Dorchester is pleased to host a community learning opportunity on caring for individuals with memory loss in partnership with physicians from Massachusetts General Hospital’s PEERS Research Group.

In our first conversation earlier this year, we explored how mental health, cognition, and memory change over time, what current research can teach us about these processes, and practical strategies for supporting brain wellness. In this session, we’ll learn more about the differences between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, what changes to look for, and practical ways to support loved ones experiencing memory loss. We’ll also discuss the challenges caregivers may face and share helpful strategies and resources.

This event is open to anyone who is curious about mental health and the aging process, whether you are navigating these questions personally, supporting a loved one, or simply interested in learning more with others in a welcoming space. The presentation will conclude with an open Q&A over a light lunch.

We hope you’ll join us for this informative and engaging conversation.
