Caregivers, this morning is for YOU!
November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the millions of individuals who dedicate their time, energy, and love to caring for others.
Caregiving can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be challenging. You spend so much time showing up for others, and this morning is an opportunity to focus on YOU!
In recognition of National Family Caregivers Month, join AARP Colorado, Senior Resource Council, Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging, and our local community partners for a FREE morning dedicated to connection, education, wellness, and caregiver support.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Nationally recognized speakers sharing valuable insights and information
- Local organizations offering caregiver resources, education, and support
- Wellness activities designed to encourage relaxation and self-care
-Coffee, light refreshments, and breakfast items
- Opportunities to connect with other caregivers who understand your journey
EVENT SCHEDULE
Stay for an hour or enjoy the whole morning!
9:00 AM | Check-In: Coffee, light refreshments, and a Caregiver Care Kit (while supplies last).
9:00 AM–12:00 PM | Resource Tables & Wellness Activities: Explore local caregiver resources, connect with community organizations, and enjoy health and wellness activities throughout both sessions.
9:15 AM | Welcome: A guided activity to meet and connect with other caregivers.
10:00–11:00 AM | Session 1: Planning Ahead: Preparing for Caregiving
11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Session 2: Avoiding Burnout: Support for Current Caregivers
