Whether you’ve joined us for a wander across the meadows before or you’re curious to see what happens behind the scenes at Carden Farm for the first time, we would love to welcome you to our Spring Farm Walk.
At Carden Farm, we pride ourselves on honouring the past in a fast-moving world. We invite you to step back in time & see how we maintain our traditional, mixed livestock farm. Come and meet our native breeds, from our Balwen sheep (a pretty, hardy breed from the hills of Wales) & our Oxford Sandy & Black pigs, to Milly, our traditional Clydesdale.
Not forgetting our herd of Traditional Hereford’s that graze fresh pastures daily, moving around the farm.
You’ll get to see behind the scenes of where our meat comes from & witness the effort & care that goes into raising our animals.
What to expect:
• Guided Tour: Walk through our ancient meadows.
• Animal Encounters: Learn how we use organic farming methods and no chemicals to raise happy, healthy animals.
• Tasters & Refreshments: Sample some of our nutrient-dense, homegrown produce & enjoy a few refreshments on us.
• Community Spirit: Meet the team - Didy, Paddy & Alan. Learn about our "farm to fork" philosophy.
Please Note: To ensure we can get as close to the animals as possible and keep them stress-free, no dogs are allowed on this walk.
This event is free of charge and open to everyone! It’s a wonderful opportunity to see the source of the food served at the Carden Arms and enjoy the Tilston countryside at its best.
