Ready for one of the most unique events of the summer? Gather your crew and put your creativity to the test in the JBLE Cardboard Regatta!
Using only cardboard and duct tape, teams will design and build a human-powered boat capable of racing across the Outdoor Pool. Whether your boat glides to victory or makes an unforgettable splash, it's all about teamwork, creativity, and having fun!

⏰ 12–4pm
📍 JBLE Outdoor Pool, 2124 Pershing Ave, Fort Eustis
How It Works:
Design and build a boat using only cardboard and duct tape.
Race your boat across the pool course.
Stay afloat and paddle your way to the finish line.
Awards will be presented to top participants.
Rules:
Boats must be constructed only from cardboard and duct tape.
Boats must safely hold at least one participant.
No wood, plastic, foam, fiberglass, metal, or flotation devices may be used as structural materials.
Participants must follow all event and pool safety rules.
Additional rules and specifications will be provided upon registration.

*MWR events & facilities are open to everyone with base access. Individuals OUTSIDE the military community are required to get sponsored by a DoD ID holder. All parties must visit the Fort Eustis Visitor’s Center during office hours to receive access to avoid delays and being turned around at the gate. All non-DoD personnel aged 18 and above must present a REAL ID-compliant form of identification & will undergo a criminal history check using VCIN/NCIC to obtain base access.
