Caravan Tours - Dividing Lines - History of Segregation in Real Estate

Join us for "Dividing Lines: A History of Segregation in Kansas City," a guided audio tour by VoiceMap, followed by a community picnic at the Nelson-Atkins Museum lawn.

We will form a caravan of cars as we drive around town together to learn more about the history of racial segregation embedded in our recent Kansas City history.

• Schedule:
  Tour Start:
• Meet at the north parking lot of Shawnee Mission East High School at 4pm.
• The caravan of cars will leave at 4:30 to drive together for tour .
• Ensure your VoiceMap app is ready with the tour downloaded.
• The tour lasts 90 minutes.
• Bring snacks and drinks for the roadtrip and make sure your gas tank is full.

Picnic: 6pm

After the tour, join us for a BYO picnic on the Nelson-Atkins Museum lawn.

Bring your own food, drinks, and a blanket or chairs for an informative and interactive discussion.
